Tekniske spørsmål og svar
There is ice forming on the wall hood during winter – is this normal?
Yes, in some areas it is normal for ice to form on the wall hood during winter, especially when sub-zero temperatures are combined with high outdoor humidity. When this occurs, the ice must be removed. This is described in the user manual for the product. A more permanent solution is to install a heating cable on the combination box to prevent ice formation. Installation of a heating cable must be carried out by a certified electrician.

I am practically minded and want to install the ventilation system myself. Is it possible without prior experience?
Yes, it is entirely possible to install a ventilation system yourself and achieve a good result, even without prior experience. This requires that you familiarise yourself thoroughly with the installation instructions and follow them carefully. Correct installation is crucial for proper function, low noise levels, and correct airflow. Electrical connections that are part of a fixed installation must be carried out by a certified electrician.
I get an error message when trying to register the unit in Flexit GO – what should I do?
If you receive an error message when trying to register the unit in Flexit GO, the most common reason is that the unit is not connected to the internet. Make sure the unit is connected to your router using an Ethernet cable and that the network has an active internet connection. After connecting the cable, wait a few minutes before attempting to register the unit again. Flexit has also created a short video showing how to register the product in the Flexit GO app. You can find it by scrolling down to the section “Registering the product in the cloud service”.
I can’t connect my cvROBO L1 to WiFi – what should I do?
Flexit cvROBO L1 only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi networks. If your router broadcasts both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz at the same time, this may prevent the connection. Make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz network. If necessary, temporarily disable the 5 GHz network in the router settings or create a separate SSID for 2.4 GHz. Open the cvROBO app and follow the instructions to add a new device. Press and hold the WiFi button on the unit until it enters pairing mode and follow the light indicator. Select the correct network and enter the password. Refer to the user manual for more detailed guidance.
I have an alarm on the CI60 control panel – what does it mean?
The CI60 control panel uses indicator lights to signal different types of faults. A steady red triangle may indicate a problem with the rotor in the unit. Common causes include a loose or broken belt, worn brush strips, or moisture or ice inside the unit. The rotor and belt should be checked as part of annual maintenance, and further instructions can be found in the user manual for your unit, such as UNI2, UNI3, UNI4, K2, K2.1 or C2. If the panel shows a steady red triangle together with a flashing MIN indicator, this may indicate a faulty temperature sensor in the unit. In such cases, we recommend contacting the builder, service company or retailer for further troubleshooting and possible replacement.
I have a heated garage used as a hobby workshop – how should the ventilation be designed?
The standard ventilation solution for a heated garage used as a hobby workshop is a mechanical exhaust fan combined with a supply air vent in the wall on the opposite side. This provides simple and effective air exchange. Depending on how the garage is used, for example frequent occupancy, dusty work, or a need for better temperature control, it may also be appropriate to consider a room ventilator or a balanced ventilation system. The choice of solution should be based on the extent of use, comfort requirements, and the types of activities carried out in the garage.
I have a subscription – when will my filters be delivered?
Flexit automatically sends filters to subscribers twice a year, in March and September. This applies to all customers with an active filter subscription. If you need filters outside these delivery periods, you can contact customer service by email at kundeservice@flexit.no for assistance with ordering.
I have an older two-storey house and want to install balanced ventilation. Is this practically possible?
Yes, it is practically possible to install balanced ventilation in an older two-storey house, but the level of complexity will vary. On floors with an attic above, it is usually relatively straightforward to route ventilation ducts. On floors without an attic above, installation is more challenging, and ducts must typically be routed within the floor structure or boxed in along walls or ceilings. The solution must be adapted to the building’s construction and floor plan and should be carefully considered during the planning stage to ensure a good and functional result.
I have a project with TEK17 requirements – can this be solved with room ventilators, or do I need a ducted ventilation system?
No, a project with TEK17 requirements cannot be solved using room ventilators alone. A solution based solely on room ventilators will not meet the ventilation requirements set out in TEK17. To comply with the regulations, a ducted ventilation system must be installed to ensure sufficient and balanced air exchange throughout the entire dwelling or building.
